Letter writing is the process of creating written communication in the form of a typed or physical letter. Letters can be written for personal or professional purposes and can be delivered via the postal service, online, or other electronic means. They typically include a sender’s address, a date, a recipient’s address, a salutation, the body of the letter, and a closing and signature. The body of the letter can contain a variety of information, including news, requests, invitations, complaints, expressions of gratitude or congratulations and much more. The tone and content of a letter may vary depending on the purpose and the relationship between the sender and the recipient. The primary purpose of letter writing is to communicate effectively and efficiently with others through a vehicle that may be saved and periodically re-read if desired.

To Whom It May Concern,
This letter is to inform you of my intention to resign from my position as Senior Article Writer at SunStar Publishing. While I have greatly enjoyed my work during the past 5 years I am regretfully submitting my 2 week notice. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed, requiring that I move to the state of Maine to care for my aging Father. My last day of work will be March 12, 2023.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with SunStar Publishing and for the experience and knowledge I have gained during my time in this office. I will miss both the work and my colleagues here.
I wish you and the Company all the best for the future.
Sincerely,
Holly Wise
Personal Letter Sample:
Dear Helen and Howard,
Even though we have not actually met, I have felt a sweet and humble Spirit from both of you during our communications over the years, and I wished to write you both a blessing for your upcoming special day!
Very soon you will take on the blessing and responsibility of being husband and wife! Helen, you will become a partner and support to your man and Howard, a representative of Christ to your lovely Bride.
I pray that above all else the two of you will make it your #1 commitment to get time with God and in His Word EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES! If you share that devotion to His Word and your relationships with Him FIRST…….EVERYTHING ELSE you will ever need or want, will fall into place! He will help you be the Godly husband and wife that you each want to be. So if you forget everything else you ever knew or heard about marriage…….Commit to staying in the Word and Prayer daily!
I am in my mid 50’s now and sometimes feel a bit old and very imperfect. LOL But the advantage to age is also having walked with the Lord through years of singleness and now a good marriage…..and He has painstakingly taught me a few things along the way.
Thus the other thing I would share with you is this: No matter what happens keep talking to each other! Communication between two people who really KNOW Jesus will, with His help, eventually work through anything! (If you think about the verse that says Don’t let the sun go down on your anger……it implies that you need to talk it through or apologize or communicate in some way to resolve things.)
And of course you need to smile and laugh and tease and play and Rejoice in the incredible gift of having been given the gift of such a special and amazing mate! Cherish each other every day!
May He richly bless you both on your wedding day and in the years to come!
Your friend from afar,
Warmly and Affectionately,
Holly
